WSJ: Hospitals Struggle to contain COVID-19 Spread Inside Their Walls

The Wall Street Journal reported 5,142 inpatient Coronavirus infections acquired from the inside of US hospitals between May 14 and June 21, according to data received from the CDC.

Although these cases are a small portion of the national COVID-19 cases, risk of infection from inside of hospital walls do pose a serious threat to the hospital's ability to fully reopen and convince the public that they are safe.

While it is impossible to know exactly how these nurses and workers became infected, frustration with current hospital infection control procedures is widespread among front-line workers throughout the country.
